JAK Publications Ltd was formed in 2005 by Business Partners John & Andrew Knowles with over 45 years combined experience working within a customer service focused environment. Both John and Andy come from a Sales Background working with companies that include North Eastern Co-operative, Bells Stores Ltd and Coca-Cola Enterprises. They started their business from a spare room in Andy’s family home launching the first  In&Around Chester-le-Street Magazine in April 2005. The company soon started to  expand and they moved to their first office located on the platform of Chester-le-Street railway Station the same year.

The company currently employs 16 members of staff with a qualified design and accounts team plus sales and administrators. JAK Publications Ltd is now situated at a studio on Turn Park just along from Chester-le-Street railway Station.

In 2007 the company expanded into design and full colour print and in 2009 opened a retail outlet in Darlington.

We now specialise in Producing Publications such as In&Around and Schools Out with new product development in the pipeline. We also offer a full design service including branding, print design, web design, and new media design and marketing strategy. This means we can provide you with lots of ideas to improve your business image and we can also carry these ideas through in style. We do everything from concept to design through to finalising with print.
